How to Survive a Life-Threatening Attack

-- Know yourself

-- Know your tools

-- Situational Awareness

  • If / Then -- Be ahead of it when you can
  • Reacting Fact -- Get ahead of it if you're not

Join us for this open public presentation and discussion-based workshop on mental preparedness for self-defense.

  • You'll learn to think about your own reactions, and how to change them if you'd like to practice to do so.
  • You'll learn how to think about your environment and the tools around you that you could use in a life-threatening situation.
  • We'll get you thinking about your situational awareness -- are you prepared to act based on changes on your environment, so you're not always stuck reacting.

We'll be going through group witness and feedback on escalating scenario demonstrations, where you'll witness developing situations, and you'll give your honest interpretation.

-- What might the aggressor do next?
-- What should the defender do now?
-- Actors develop the scenario out
-- Audience: Tell me what to say or do next

Let's have an open discussion of the important things we all need to consider regarding self-defense, every day.

ADTA Range Safety Officers (RSOs) will be present to assist.  If you normally carry a firearm, you are welcome to do so at this event.  Loaded carry firearms must remain holstered -- no exceptions.  If you would like to bring a firearm to show to the group, or you would like to participate in our hands-on exercises, our Range Safety Officers will help you safely unload and clear your firearm at the door.

Have a question about ADTA membership, events, or activities?  Many ADTA members are available both before and after the presentation to help.    Also please check out the ADTA website at http://armeddefense.org
