Join us for an ADTA DRY-FIRE WORKSHOP – Ongoing Training for Intermediate-Level Shooters

To attend this class, we recommend that you have already attended our Beginners Workshop, -OR- that you own a gun and know how to shoot it.

Event Description

Build and maintain your shooting skills by attending ADTA’s Dry-Fire Workshop.   This event includes training in the basic skills needed to earn your Safe Shooter and Defensive Shooter certifications.  Also includes many of the shooting scenarios that you'll encounter in our live-fire events.  Let our Dry-Fire (no ammunition) training get you ready for the real thing!

What skills will be featured at this event?
  • To be announced.
Items you should always bring to our Dry-Fire Workshops:
  • Your pistol with an outside-the-waistband hip holster.
  • Three magazines and a magazine carrier with two pouches.
  • Tactical flashlight with momentary push-button switch.
  • A concealed-carry cover garment – doesn't really matter what it is, as long as it conceals your gun.
Typical Scenario Training at our Dry-Fire Workshops
  • Basic home defense
  • Active shooter situations
  • Sudden confrontations

Firearm Safety Protocol

This protocol must be followed for everyone's safety. ADTA Range Safety Officers (RSOs) will be present to check you in at the door.

  1. If you are a concealed pistol license holder, you are of course welcome to do so responsibly at our events.
  2. At most of our workshops we encourage our attendees to actively participate in exercises or scenarios.
  3. For everyone's safety, we require that active workshop participants not be carrying a loaded firearm.
  4. For everyone's safety, handling of firearms is not permitted during ADTA workshop events except by the supervised, specific direction of an ADTA official.
  5. Our ADTA Range Safety Officers will be present to help all attendees unload and clear any firearms prior to participating.
  6. If you are participating in the workshop, you may also secure and lock your own firearm in your vehicle prior to entering the workshop venue.
